The police found 350 kilos of cocaine on Saturday evening in a van that drove away from a catering business on Dijklaan in Breda. Inside, she found 19 firearms seized.
Officers from a surveillance unit saw a van with two people drive away at a quarter to eight. The driver was given a stop sign but did not respond. After a chase through the center of Breda, the van got stuck at the intersection of Haagdijk and Fellenoordstraat.
The driver tried to flee but surrendered quickly. While this 38-year-old man from Teteringen and his 44-year-old passenger without permanent residence were taken to the station, the van was examined. It turned out to contain 350 kilos of cocaine.
Immediately afterwards, a raid was made on the catering business. The door was broken open. 19 firearms were found inside. The investigation into the origin of the drugs and weapons is still ongoing.
