Strangers broke into Samra’s home and vandalized the apartment. Now the rapper is looking for clues – and is paying a large sum for them.
According to rapper Samra’s own statements, a break-in occurred in his Berlin apartment at the end of January 2026. As yet unknown perpetrators are said to have broken into the artist’s private home and left the rooms badly devastated.
The rapper, real name Hussein Akkouche, made the incident public for the first time on January 30, 2026, by addressing his community in several Instagram stories and sharing recordings from the apartment.
Ransacked apartment and emotional reaction
In the videos, Samra showed cupboards ransacked, drawers open and clothes strewn on the floor. He emphasized that he was not concerned about possible stolen valuables, but rather about the invasion of his family’s privacy. The thought that strangers had broken into the home of his partner and child made him angry and stunned.
The police confirmed a corresponding operation in Berlin-Lichterfelde. No information has yet been provided about possible suspects. A short video from the neighbors allegedly showed the alleged burglars, but hardly anything can be seen.
A reward of 30,000 euros is offered
In order to obtain information that could lead to the identification of the perpetrators, Samra offered a reward of 30,000 euros. As he himself made it clear, this should only be paid for real and reliable evidence. In his statements, the rapper chose clear words and made it clear that he did not want to accept the incident: “Anyone who can give me real evidence about the perpetrators and knows who is behind them, I will put 30,000 euros on the table.”
On Monday, February 2, 2026, Samra also spoke on YouTube. Together with his wife Dunja, he sat down in front of the camera in a nine-minute video and described what had happened. The recording was originally supposed to be a positive vlog, but the break-in changed everything.
In the video, both showed the condition of the apartment again and reported how quickly the break-in apparently happened. His wife also said that the police had informed her that professionals had probably committed the crime. It is not clear to the public exactly what was stolen. In one shot you can see some open watch boxes on the floor. Dunja also mentioned that her son’s baby shoes were stolen.
At the same time, they took the opportunity to raise awareness among their viewers and gave tips for better protection. In the video description, they thanked them for the numerous supportive messages and the great compassion from the community.
Solidarity from the music scene
Many colleagues from the music scene also showed solidarity in Samra’s Instagram posts. Numerous well-known artists encouraged him and his family and expressed their sympathy. Including Badmomzjay with “God sees everything” and Kolja Goldstein, who added: “You have to live abroad.”
Rappers being broken into is not an isolated case. It was only in September 2025 that PA Sports had to contend with a burglary and also issued a considerable sum of 20,000 euros as a reward. Celo385 also fell victim to a break-in in 2025, but the Frankfurter offered a reward of “only” 5,000 euros.
