The new “Hunger Games” part will be released on November 17, 2023. The new film is the prequel to the previous four parts, which starred Jennifer Lawrence.
The requirements
The shooting of “The Hunger Games: The Song of Birds and Snakes” starts in mid-August and lasts one to eight days for the extras. The costume and mask rehearsals also take place in Duisburg. They begin in mid-July and last until mid-August.
“Invited are people of all ethnicities and origins as well as all genders and gender identities, aged 8 to 80 years”, said Gregor Weber, co-owner of the agency Eick. “Since many of these individuals will be cast as residents of Panem, a natural and expressive look is a must.”
The primary search is therefore for supporting actors who wear their natural hair color. Body jewelry, tattoos, solarium tan, permanent make-up and fixed braces are unsuitable. In addition, the extras should be prepared to have their hair cut off or shaved off. Basic military training is also an advantage.
Since most of the people in the book template for “The Hunger Games: The Song of Birds and Snakes” are described as severely malnourished, “we focus primarily on very slim and thin body types,” emphasized Weber. “Also, many young adults who are at least 17 years old but look younger are being sought. Applications from people with physical disabilities, including those with visible scars or amputations, are welcome.”
