The 1st FC Saarbrücken continues to fight for the ascent 13 game days before the end of the season. Table basement Hannover 96 II had no chance against the favorite in the Ludwigspark on Saturday. The FCS got all the goals – even the goal, but in view of the result there was nothing more than a carver.
In the first half, two goals went to the account of 1. FC Saarbrücken – unfortunately only one thing in the wrong goal. But one after the first half hour, the Saarlanders clearly dominated the game at home in the Ludwigspark.
A goal, an own goal
After good preparatory work by Patrick Sontheimer and Maurice Multaup, Calogero Rizzuto promoted the round leather from 15 meters into the lower right corner of the Hanoverian box (17th). In the 34th minute the equalization: Phillip Menzel was able to clarify a strong conclusion from Hanover Hayate Matsuda. But then Felix Göttlich extended the cross on the box, where the ball from Saarbrücken’s Sven Sonnenberg jumped over the line (34.).
Result just moved
This gave the second team from Hannover 96 buoyancy – at least until shortly after the break, because Stefan holiday was moving the intermediate stand again – 2-1 for the FCS (48th). But Hannover goalkeeper Toni Stahl, who had previously got Kasim Rabihic off his legs, can fend off his penalty ten minutes later.
But that changed nothing to the Saarbrücken dominance, which Rabihic then expanded with the 3-1 (67th). On the contrary: shortly before the end, the freshly substituted Florian Krüger put the lid on it with the 4: 1 (80th).
After a foul in midfield by Brooklyn Ezeh, who injured himself, Hanover then had to do the last few minutes.
With now 44 points, the FCS claims third place in the table and approaches the direct promotion candidate Dynamo Dresden except for one counter. Next Friday, February 28th, the Saarbrücken will have to go away from the fifth in the table Viktoria Köln. The kick -off is at 7 p.m.
