Arminia Bielefeld continues to rush from victory to victory in all competitions. The DFB Cup finalist celebrated the next success in the 3rd league near Viktoria Köln.
The East Westphalia ended a successful English week on Sunday with a narrow 2-0 (1: 0) success in Cologne-Höhenberg and the third victory in a row. In the table, the Arminia ranks second with just one point behind the leaders Dynamo Dresden, Viktoria Köln is seventh.
Maël Corboz (19th) met in half one, Julian Kania moved 2-0 after the end (90th). Enrique Lofolomo (39th) and Noah Sarenren Bazeee (42.) each flew off the square with yellow-red. Cologne coach Olaf Janßen also saw Rot (70th).
Corboz-Volley puts Bielefeld in the lead
In the Viktoria compared to the victory against VfB Stuttgart II (2: 1) with Christoph Greger and Florian Engelhardt instead of Niklas May and Tobias Eisenhuth were two new players in the starting XI. Bielefeld’s coach Mitch Kniat sent the same eleven as in the 4-2 heir against Wehen Wiesbaden on Tuesday.

The game began with a very early yellow card for Cologne Lars Dietz, who got Marius Wörl off his legs on the outer line (2nd). Serhat-Semih Güler, who narrowly missed the Bielefeld Tor in the 8th minute with direct acceptance, was the only notable chance of scoring in the first quarter of an hour. The Arminia, in turn, took the lead with her first shot: Corboz took a cross from Stefano Russo directly and scored worth seeing by volley to 1-0 for the East Westphalia (19th).
Lofolomo and Sarenren Bazeee fly from the square
A Victoria answer initially failed to materialize, also because the Arminia controlled the game and hardly allowed attacks by the Cologne. Because Bielefeld only made the most necessary with the lead in the back, the game rippled over long phases. Yellow cards caused a sensation for Cologne’s Enrique Lofolomo and Bielefelds Noah Sarenren Bazeee, each of whom can be picked up for complaints from referee Daniel Bartnitzki (34.).
This was initially followed by Lofolomo when he was put down by yellow-red five minutes later after a supposed foul in midfield (39th). Shortly thereafter, Sarenren Bazeee also saw the traffic light card (42nd) after a swallow in the Cologne penalty area and the break went into the break with ten against ten.
Viktoria presses, Janßen sees red
The initial phase of the second half belonged to the Bielefeldern, who, thanks to a shot from Maximilian Große, just passed the first good chance after the change of sides (49.). The Viktoria, in turn, had its best chance in the 57th minute when Güler came to a conclusion after a nice combination over several stations, but failed due to the strongly reacting Jonas Kersken. Shortly afterwards, the DSC goalkeeper also saved Said El Mala and Donny Bogićević (60th).
Viktoria coach Janßen then changed triple and brought May, Lex-Tyger Lobinger and Sidny Lopes Cabral (60th). Lobinger only had a good chance shortly after his substitution when he narrowly missed the equalizer (64th) with a header. The Viktoria further increased the pressure and it became heated in phases. When Kersken needed a break in treatment for back pain, Cologne’s coach Janßen was so strongly upset about a supposed time game that he saw the red card and had to follow the rest of the game from the stands (70th).
In the final phase, the Viktoria continued to ran, but hardly came to an end. El Malas Schlenzer in the 88th minute parried Kerken brilliantly. Instead of the equalizer, the decision was made on the other: the substitute Kania closed a Bielefeld counterattack with the 2-0 (90th).
