SV Sandhausen has a new head coach: Tomas Oral is now coaching the second division soccer team. Oral takes over the job from Alois Schwartz, who was released by the SVS.
President Jürgen Machmeier praised the new coach at the presentation: “Tomas Oral was able to convince us of his game idea in a short time. That’s why we’re sure we’ve found the right coach in him to quickly initiate the trend reversal and thus ensure relegation.” , according to the SVS boss. Thomas Oral himself is also in good spirits that his “mission to stay in the league” could succeed: “I would like to thank those responsible for the trust they have placed in me. Of course I am aware of the difficulty of this task. But if we pull together and they If the team shows their true colors, we will hold the class. I am convinced of that! Without this conviction I would not have accepted the task here in Sandhausen,” said 49-year-old Tomas Oral.
Oral is no stranger to the Southwest
Oral coached FSV Frankfurt, RB Leipzig, FC Ingolstadt and, in 2016, Karlsruher SC, among others. His last head coach station was then again Ingolstadt. Oral has been without a club since June 2021. As a player, he completed 38 regional league games for SG Egelsbach. Other stations as a player in the Oberliga Hessen were Germania Horbach and FSV Frankfurt.
Schwartz dismissed after 0:3 against KSC
After four competitive defeats in a row without their own goal, SV Sandhausen parted ways with coach Alois Schwartz.
