Before kick-off, a game of equals was expected. But Greuther Fürth saw no land against KSC – and lost sight of third place.
Igor Matanovic (42nd, 78th) and Fabian Schleusener (86th, 90th) scored the goals for coach Christian Eichner’s team. KSC, which has been unbeaten at home since the beginning of November, improved to eighth place. Marvin Wanitzek’s missed penalty kick (54′) didn’t bother either.
