Peter Forrest, aka P. Fluid, is dead. He was murdered at the age of 64. The former member of the black rock band 24-7 Spyz was found lifeless and with clear signs of violence in an ambulance in the Bronx on January 14th.

The musician, who was working as a driver for an ambulance company at the time, had “injuries all over his body,” according to the New York police report. Now he is being investigated for murder. There is currently no concrete information about what happened.

P. Fluid made a name for himself with the group 24-7 Spyz and as a founding member of the Black Rock Coalition. In the 80s, the latter wanted to create awareness that black artists were not limited to the R&B and rap genres.
24-7 Spyz delivered records that ranged from funk to hardcore. P. Fluid was considered the frontman of the band, which became known worldwide especially with its cover of “Jungle Boogie” by Kool and the Gangs.
In 1990 he decided to leave the formation, but it continued without him – with a smaller line-up to this day. The singer never stopped making music completely, although it became more sporadic.
