Police have arrested a suspect in connection with Monday’s Chicago shooting that left at least six people dead. This is reported by the authorities.
It concerns a 22-year-old white man whom the police were looking for. He was arrested “without incident” after a short chase in the north of the city of Chicago, the local police chief said.
On Monday, shots were fired at spectators at an Independence Day parade in Highland Park, a suburb of Chicago. Six people were killed and dozens seriously injured.
