What will 2025 be like? The Italians’ forecasts

According to the survey conducted by YouGov For N26over half of Italians plan to increase your monthly travel and entertainment budget compared to 2024. A figure that reflects the widespread desire in our country to favor unforgettable experiences and moments of leisure to other forms of investment. Ours is a propensity that exceeds the European average, equal to 44%.

Good intentions: manage income and expenses better

Immediately after leisure, however, as many as 39% of respondents in Italy declare that they will allocate more resources for management of daily expenses, such as those related to housing and transport. Proof of a growing need for economic stability in everyday life. In particular, tAmong good intentions, there is responsible financial management: 38% of Italians intend to set aside more funds for greater long-term economic security, a figure in line with what also emerged in the other countries involved in the research (37%).

Looking for a second job or a new job, or asking for a promotion

In comparison with the other countries interviewed, Italians stand out for their determination to find new ways to increase their income: approximately 3 out of 10 Italians (32%) intend to engage in the search for a new job or even for a second job in the next year, or they think of making requests for promotions and salary increases in order to improve their economic situation. This figure is the highest among the countries analysed, thus exceeding the average of total responses (29%).

How Italians invest

On the investment front, Italy is among the most enterprising countries. 16% of those interviewed already have a securities portfolio (in Spain 10% of those interviewed do, in France 9%). In 2025, 16% of Italians consider it a priority to increase monthly funds allocated to investments and 18% include this category among their financial goals.
