We produced approximately 544,000 liters. Only Limburg does even better. The total number of professional wine growers and hobbyists increased by about thirty throughout the country. White wine from chardonnay grapes is the most popular.
There are more vineyards in Flanders than in Wallonia, but production is still a lot less. This is because Wallonia mainly opts for sparkling wine where the vines can be closer together.
