20,000 visitors on record edition of Ostend Beach
Due to the corona crisis, Ostend Beach deliberately moved to the month of August in 2021. This made it one of the first festivals that could continue after the relaxation of the corona measures. It was an absolute top edition for the organization, but ticket sales also went well this year. For example, all VIP tickets were already sold out in advance. In the end, about 20,000 visitors were clocked in over the three days.
For the largest edition to date, the dance festival presented some novelties. For example, the tents are all equipped with floors for the first time and a fourth stage was added with the Octagon stage. The swimming pool was also new for this twelfth edition. “Everything is going extremely well so far,” says satisfied organizer Kevin Beirens.
The sunny weather naturally contributes to the atmosphere that the organization wants to create on the beach in Ostend. “It’s really great weather, ideal for a beach festival.” In total, more than 120 artists will make their appearance in Ostend. During Fissa Friday there were performances by Dikke and Bilal Wahib, among others.
Saturday was renamed Clubbing Saturday as usual. Anouk Matton was allowed to close the evening on the main stage, while Len Faki and Matador gave the best of themselves on the other stages. Finally, on Classic Sunday, you can still look forward to Pat Krimson, Yves Deruyter and Bob Sinclar.
