20 planes with peacekeepers from Kazakhstan arrived in Russia

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announces the arrival from Kazakhstan of twenty aircraft of the military transport aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces with peacekeepers from the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the CSTO.

The planes landed in the suburbs airport “Chkalovsky”. After unloading equipment, weapons and property, the military marched to the point of permanent deployment.

As reported, on Sunday morning, 10 aircraft of the Aerospace Forces with Russian peacekeepers also arrived at the Chkalovsky airfield near Moscow.

Earlier, peacekeepers from Armenia, Belarus, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan left Kazakhstan.

In connection with the unrest that began in the country, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, turned to the member countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization for help. The successful completion of the CSTO mission was announced on January 13.
