A 74-year-old man from Hoogerheide was arrested on Tuesday evening because he had approximately twenty weapons, including firearms, at home. The man was also in possession of ammunition. The police reported this on Thursday.
Police raided the man’s home around 7 p.m. after being tipped off that there was a firearm in the house. The 74-year-old resident was standing at the side of the house at the time. There he was arrested.
About twenty weapons, including firearms and stabbing weapons, were later found inside his home. Ammunition was also found. The police have seized the weapons and are conducting further investigations.
