Spanish team Valencia Basket hosted the Greek representative Panathinaikos, whose head coach is Ergin Ataman, at the Roig Arena in the second match of the series.
Panathinaikos won the match that went into overtime, 107-105, and made the series 2-0.
Nigel Hayes Davis, who led his team to victory with his scoring game in the extra period, was the top scorer of the match with 27 points.
The third match of the series between Panathinaikos and Valencia Basket will be held in Greece on May 6.
Another Greek team, Olympiakos, beat the French representative Monaco, hosted at the Peace and Friendship Hall, 94-64 and made the series 2-0.
Sasha Vezenkov, who was chosen as the most valuable player of the regular season, played an important role in Olympiacos’ victory with 21 points.
The third match of the series between Monaco and Olympiakos will be played in France on May 5.
The teams that achieve 3 wins in their series will advance to the Final Four, which will be hosted by Athens, the capital of Greece.
