The Hamburger SV fought with a lot of effort at least until Sunday at the top of the table of the 2nd Bundesliga. On Friday evening, the HSV won 2-1 (1: 1) with a penalty in added time at promoted Prussia Münster.
Goal scorer Davie Selke met both before and after the break in the fourth minute of stoppage time. Lukas Frenkert (24th minute) had the Prussians in the lead with his third goal of the season.
This means that the HSV remains undefeated even in the eighth game under coach Merlin Polzin. With 38 points from 21 games, the Hamburgers first passed the 1. FC Köln, who only plays against FC Schalke 04 on Sunday. Despite the second defeat in series, Münster remains before the relegation ranks.
At first without a Jean-Luc Dompé, who had come to a meeting point too late before the game and was only substituted at the break, HSV Lange struggled. With significantly more possession of the ball, the favorite’s attack game was far too cumbersome. In the second round, the attacks remained completely harmless to a slatted hit in the 54th minute. Only shortly before the end of the game did an impetuous action by Frenkert, the Selke outline, ensure the decision.
Jahn Regensburg is subject to Fürth despite leadership
The blatant away weakness of the bottom of the table SSV Jahn Regensburg also stopped in the 2nd league in the Bavarian duel at SpVgg Greuther Fürth. The Upper Palatinate lost on match day 21 despite a 1-0 lead with 1: 2 (1: 2) in the Ronhof. An away point of ten games is simply not enough to be able to survive in the relegation battle.

After a counterattack on the left side, attacker Sargis Adamyan was successful for the Jahn in the 6th minute. However, led by the strong driver Branimir Hrgota, the Fürther turned the game in front of 12,586 spectators through the goals of Jomaine Consbruch (31st) and Dennis Srbeny (37th). Bad luck for the Jahn: The throw -in for Fürth in front of the gate to 2-1 should not have existed. Jahn coach Andreas Patz Sags the red card because of complaining in added time.
With the seventh win of the season, the Fürther continued to stand out from the relegation zone. After the break, Jahn goalkeeper Felix Gebhardt prevented the 1: 3 with a parade against Srbeny and kept the guests in the game. A week after the surprising 2-0 against Hertha BSC, the Regensburgers lacked the necessary punch and effectiveness as so often during this season. Noah Ganaus had the 2-2 on his foot in the 88th minute, but failed due to the well -reactive Fürth goalkeeper Nahuel Noll.
