Status: 11/06/2022 3:27 p.m

A dream goal from Fürth’s youngster Armindo Sieb was enough for a win in Braunschweig. It was the second win in the second game for new coach Zorniger.

The game was hard fought from the start, but there were few goal scenes. Spvgg. Greuther Fürth determined the events with intensive pressing, Braunschweig had difficulties setting accents themselves. Accordingly, the 1:0 lead for the Fürth was deserved – but it also came about through a real “wow” moment.

In the 41st minute Marco John chipped a free kick for the Franks from 30 meters into the penalty area. Braunschweig’s Nikolaou unhappily headed the ball into the middle – there, Fürth’s Armindo Sieb had a lot of space in front of the goal, which he used for one of the scenes of this matchday:

Dream goal puts Fürth in the lead

From about eleven meters, he artistically started the overhead kick and hit the ball perfectly. The game device hit the top right corner of the goal. Braunschweig’s keeper Fejzic had no chance and Fürth was in front at the break.

In the second half, Eintracht came out of the cabin much more agile. However, it was not until the 59th minute that Braunschweig had the first good chance to score. A corner of the BTSV was not defended clearly enough by the Fürth team. De Medina was able to pull away from 17 meters and narrowly missed.

As a result, the Braunschweig offensive game remained more convincing than in the first round. However, there were hardly any more chances to score and Fürth defended consistently and with concentration. Sieb’s dream goal was enough for the second win in the second game under Fürth’s new coach Alexander Zorniger. The cloverleaf thus gains air in the relegation battle and moves up to one point in the table to the Braunschweiger.
