The Karlsruher SC has signed Timon Pauls as director of professional football. The 32-year-old comes from the second division rival Hertha BSC and is to be responsible for the further development of the squad at the KSC in the newly created position, as the club announced. Pauls is subordinate to sports managing director Mario Eggimann in his role.
“With Timon Pauls, we were able to win a strategically thinking soccer specialist with high expertise for this newly created key position,” said Eggimann. Pauls had been responsible for the squad planning at Hertha BSC since 2023, before that he had worked as a chief scout of FC Augsburg.
