It was the Dutch Vera Tieleman who pulled the first slope of the day after 46 kilometers course on the top of the Lettingstraat. Henrietta Colborne went 62 kilometers from the finish in the counterattack on the lonely flightwoman. However, the British was quickly called to order. At the second climb of the Lettingstraat, Tieleman 1:25 drove out for the peloton. In the large group the pace was sensitive to and with 37 kilometers ahead, Tielman’s attempt was on it.
With 30 kilometers before the bow, Felicity Wilson-Haffenden accelerated. The Australian was allowed to start the two local laps of 11 kilometers each with a half -minute pre -gift on the peloton. She had less than half of that when they entered the final round. At 9 kilometers from the end, Wilson-Haffenden was joined by the American Lily Williams. A kilometer away, however, everything melted together again. With 5 kilometers to drive we got a leading group with Williams, Fleur Moors, Ilse Pluimers, Susanne Andersen, Valerie Demey and Amalie Dideriksen. They were allowed to sprint for the victory and Moors was the fastest.
Moors succeeds the Austrian Kathrin Schweinberger as the end Laureate of Dwars through the Westhoek. For the young Limburg, who is also active in cyclocross, it is the first professional victory.
