18-year-old dies after an accident in the Dahme-Spreewald district

After a car crashed into a tree in the Dahme-Spreewald district, an 18-year-old passenger died in hospital with serious injuries.

The 38-year-old driver and two other passengers aged 17 and 19 were also seriously injured in the accident on Sunday morning, the police said on Monday.

Previously, the driver was driving on a country road between Cahnsdorf and Egsdorf on Sunday morning when she left the road for reasons that have not yet been clarified.

The police have started investigations into the exact course of the accident and the cause.

The country road remained completely closed until late afternoon during the course of the recovery and rescue work.
