165 schools closed for quarantine in Russia due to COVID-19

In Russia, quarantine measures against the backdrop of the spread of COVID-19 were introduced by 165 schools in 39 regions, reported in the Big Change Telegram channel run by the press service of the Ministry of Education.

As of January 26, 111 schools were quarantined in Russia, or 0.28% of the total number of schools in the country. By January 27, this figure reached 0.42%.

During the day, 69 schools were closed for quarantine, and restrictions were lifted from 15 more. A day earlier, 62 educational institutions went into quarantine, and seven more opened.

The situation with restrictions on the work of schools due to seasonal SARS and coronavirus remains stable, and all changes related to quarantine closures are insignificant, the press service of the Ministry of Education noted.
