After winning three smaller tournaments in 2024, Vincent Reisach achieved his first major coup on the junior tour in September 2025 when he won the J200 tournament in Rakovnik, Czech Republic. A little later, the German tennis hopeful ventured onto the ITF tour for the first time in Offenbach (M15), where he narrowly suffered defeat. On the second attempt, however, the 16-year-old is currently convincing.

This victory was at least once a big surprise: In only his third match in an ITF tournament, 16-year-old Vincent Reisach caused a small sensation on Thursday. In the round of 16 of the M15 event in Cadolzburg, Reisach brought the top-seeded DTB professional Nino Ehrenschneider (number 546 in the world rankings) to his knees.

In a true marathon game lasting 2:36 hours, the youngster defeated his 24-year-old DTB opponent 7:6, 2:6 and 7:6 and showed nerves of steel.

Ehrenschneider peppered the young player with a whopping 14 aces, served well and created nine break chances, but Reisach was able to fend off six of them. The talent himself was only able to take the serve from Ehrenschneider once, but he did so at the perfect time. When Ehrenschneider made it 5-2 in the first set and was already 30-0 up, Reisach scored three points in a row. A double fault by Ehrenschneider resulted in the loss of serve.

Three Germans in the quarterfinals

In the tiebreaker of the decider, Reisach fended off a match point before he was able to make it on his third attempt.

After winning the talent duel with Ben Ostheimer in two sets at the start, Reisach is in the quarter-finals in Cadolzburg, where the Pole Karol Filar (number 653 in the world rankings) is waiting. Of the numerous Germans who started, alongside Reisach, only Sydney Zick (number 1289 in the world rankings) and Max Schönhaus (number 612 in the world rankings) are in the round of the last eight.

Schönhaus probably has the best chance of winning the tournament. The 18-year-old won the junior finals in 2025 and two ITF tournaments.
