“We thought it would be less, and counted on half that,” says Tanja Walter (35) from Berlin Tile Design.

Together with the companies Kafi GmbH and Wache Parkettleger, they organized the sports competition with 500 participants on the sports field of the Ostend sports club from Eberswalde last Saturday.

In addition to athletes and spectators, 65 Ukrainian children came to the festival. “For at least one afternoon, the refugee children had the feeling that all was right with the world,” says Walter.

The proceeds from the raffle and the sale of food and drinks will be donated to the BILD aid organization “Ein Herz für Kinder”.
