150 million euros demanded! Osimhen transfer off the table?

In the past few weeks, FC Bayern have come to the realization that it wasn’t such a good idea to start the 2022/2023 season without a direct replacement for the goalscorer Robert Lewandowski who had migrated. A new center forward of world-class format is therefore essential for the coming summer, with Naples’ Victor Osimhen being the top candidate. According to the latest rumours, the Nigerian would probably be even more expensive than expected.

Victor Osimhen is no longer an insider tip. VfL Wolfsburg’s former flop has long attracted the interest of numerous European heavyweights. The 24-year-old impresses with his header power, brutal attack and outstanding technique – he scored an impressive 26 goals in 31 competitive games.

Osimhen is a striker type, just like the troubled FC Bayern is looking for. The new Munich coach Thomas Tuchel recently bit his tongue as a precaution. “I have an opinion on that,” said the FCB coach, “but I’ll keep my mouth shut.”

It had been clear for a long time that Naples would demand a transfer fee in the three-digit million range in the summer, after all, the courted shooting star is contractually bound until 2025. Nevertheless, Osimhen is said to have been the record champion’s dream player so far. This was reported, among others, by “Bild” football boss Christian Falk in his podcast “Bayern Insider”.

FC Bayern would probably have to pay 150 million euros for Osimhen

However, Italian sports newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport now claims that Napoli’s demands are much higher than originally thought. According to this, the powerful SSC boss Aurelio de Laurentiis is said to have set a price tag of over 150 million euros for Osimhen.

It is unclear whether FC Bayern would even want to bid in such spheres. Competitors such as Chelsea FC, Manchester United, Arsenal FC, Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain have all paid higher fees than the Bundesliga club in the past.

Osimhen himself should not tend to return to Germany anyway. The attacker is more likely to be in the Premier League, it is said.
