-40 years ago in southern Finland, the back winter struck. My dad went to the studio in the morning and never returned. The car that passed the truck had met in the same lane. My father was 34 at the end of life, Anssi Kela writes in her update.

– Later in the afternoon I returned from school by bicycle. There was a gravel road behind the home, where you could see in the living room. My brother Ville was in the window. I started playing on the back of the fillar and wondered why Ville didn’t laugh.

– He already knew. I heard that in a moment. I will never forget how it felt when my mother said “Daddy is dead”. Such leaves a mark. I understand how anything can happen to anyone, anytime. Nothing is certain. No one is self -evident. Fear of losing.

– Sometimes he goes in my mind in a strange way: when I see and experience things, I often think what a father could say if he returned to see this? I mirror things through him, I look at his eyes. This is difficult to explain. In a way, the clock has stopped until 1985. My world is changing in relation to that moment. These stuff existed for my father, these did not.

Anssi Kela says that her enthusiasm for music comes from her father.

– My father knows that he would surely have been proud of what I have achieved. I believe it is true.

– 40 years later I can’t say I miss my father – that’s not what I feel. This is something more vague. Something that could have been. Something that goes with you. Like far -reaching music that cannot be properly clear. Not here, but not gone either.

– Do you know that your steps were echoed? The singer decides his writing.
