A police pursuit ended in a major accident on Thursday night. The police started the chase on a Volvo that worked at high speed in Loon op Zand. In the end, the driver lost power around 1.45 am at the Blyde Invenslaan in Waalwijk. He rammed trees, a lamppost, traffic signs and a parked car. Due to the enormous blow, the engine block swung out of the Volvo and eventually the vehicle came to a halt on its roof. The driver was injured and taken to the hospital with the ambulance.
