A motorist had to surrender his driver’s license to officers of the Roosendaal police last night. They caught him for driving under the influence. He had a blood alcohol level of more than 2.64 – that is the maximum score – where 0.5 is allowed.
Someone sitting next to this driver in this car informed the officers that the arrest was nonsense. Although the driver had consumed alcohol, no collision had occurred. “Obviously we have not gone into this further, but it should be clear what we think about this…”
