A 41-year-old man was arrested last night on suspicion of stealing and set fire to a large number of books from the loan library on the Neindseweg in East, West and Middelbeers.
Agents saw the suspect on the Hillestraat. There he sat on his fatbike, looking at a tree stump where several books were burning. On seeing the agents, he cycled away at high speed, but he could still be arrested at home.
