A car burned out in the Lange Nieuwstraat in Tilburg last night. This morning, a burning smell, a petrol valve and a jerry can on the street still remind us of the fire. There is also a large black spot where the car has been parked. A police spokesperson said this morning that this is arson. Another car was damaged in the fire.
Tonight was the fourth night in a row that the city was hit with car fires. Previously, it was the turn of cars on Bachlaan, Mozartlaan and Edmond Meeliserf. Last night’s fire is being taken into account by the police in the investigation of the other fires.
The police also assume arson in the two fires in Tilburg-Noord, on Mozartlaan and Bachlaan. According to the police, no arson has been established at the Edmond Meeliserf. The cause here could also be a technical defect.
