There were many traffic jams spread over the entire provinces during the morning rush hour. At around half past nine, the traffic jam on the A50 highway between Ravenstein and the Gelderse Renkum, in the direction of Arnhem, is still 18 kilometers long. It entails a delay of three quarters of an hour. Traffic on the A2 has been struggling for some time with problems between the Sint-Michielsgestel exit and the Gelderse Waardenburg, in the direction of Utrecht. Here is a 17 kilometer traffic jam.
Between Nederweert in Limburg and the Leenderheide junction on the A2, in the direction of Eindhoven, there has been a 17-kilometre traffic jam. It meant an extra half hour drive for road users. An accident at the Maasbrug in Cuijk caused a 10 kilometer traffic jam on the A73 in the direction of Nijmegen, but this was resolved by half past nine. It was also busy on the A58 highway, between Breda and Eindhoven, but this did not lead to much delay. The traffic jams are partly the result of the rain.
