At around a quarter past seven, the emergency services received a report of a car fire and an accident with injuries on the Aalsterweg in Eindhoven. Photos indeed show a burnt-out car that has come to a stop against a lamppost. The car caught fire after the driver lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons and came to a stop against a lamppost, police said.
The driver fled after the accident. He has not yet been found, police said. Just after 7:30 am, the police distributed a Burgernet report in which they indicated that they were looking for a bald white man between the ages of thirty and forty in the area of Orchideeënstraat, not far from Aalsterweg.
