The hood on the chimney of a house on Wilhelminalaan in Oisterwijk was on fire today. When the fire brigade arrived, it was already out. They did clear the fireplace. The canal was also swept using an aerial platform.
The fire brigade has informed residents that they still have to have a chimney sweeping company come. They must replace the hood and the chimney must be thoroughly swept again before heating can be started again.
