A car ended up on its side in Tilburg around ten past five this afternoon. This was the result of a collision with another car on the Ringbaan-Zuid. The accident happened near the Broekhovenseweg, in the direction of the King Willem II Stadium.
According to witnesses, both cars came from the direction of the stadium and wanted to turn left at the same time. This caused the collision. One of the vehicles then overturned and ended up in the lane of oncoming traffic. Miraculously, both drivers were not injured. The material damage to both cars is considerable.
As a result of the accident, the Ringbaan-Zuid was closed in both directions between Broekhovenseweg and Trouwlaan. The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident. After the closure, traffic was advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
