A driver left the road around 7 a.m. and ended up in a wide ditch. That happened on the Noordwaarderweg in Werkendam. A trauma helicopter, fire brigade and ambulance arrived at the scene of the accident. But by the time emergency services arrived, the driver had already gotten out of the water. The driver was taken to hospital by ambulance. It is unknown how the driver ran off the road.
