A motorist rammed the ferry between Veen and Gelderse Aalst last night with his car. This happened around half past two at night. The car drilled at high speed in the arm of the ferry. As a result, the lock broke to the shore and drove the ferry, by car, about 25 meters from the side.
Both passengers managed to swim to the bank on their own. They were not seriously injured. The ferry suffered considerable damage to the arm to which the raising layer is attached. At the time of the accident, the ferry was already out of service.
