112 news: 13 tips after robbery • 10,000 cigarettes found in car

A 53-year-old motorist who was caught behind the wheel by the police on Tuesday while texting will still have to serve 2.5 years in prison. The man turned out to be wanted in Poland for seventeen outstanding crimes, the Maashorst police said. “He could receive a maximum of 24 years in prison.”

When his car was checked, 10,000 cigarettes were also found. They were divided into fifty slippers, in a box in the back of the car. “They had no excise stamps and were probably counterfeit.”

The cigarettes have been seized and will be destroyed after investigation.
