Hooibal caused a fire at Koorsloot in Beets last night. Due to the dangerous smoke air that was released, the fire brigade advised to keep windows and doors closed. It took a while before the fire brigade had the fire under control, because the hay first had to be taken apart. This allowed new flames and clouds of smoke.
An hour after the first report, the fire was under control. The hay bales were eventually taken apart with the help of a tap.
