This morning, a suspicious object was found on the street near a business premises on Kromhoutstraat in IJmuiden. Explosives scouts have carried out an initial inspection and called in the Defense Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service (EOD). The area has been cordoned off and the EOD will conduct further investigations to determine whether it may contain explosive material.
