In the night from Sunday to Monday, an explosion occurred at a jeweler on Eerste Van Swindenstraat in Amsterdam East. The explosion caused a small fire at the facade of the building, which was quickly extinguished.
The police immediately searched the area for the possible perpetrator(s), including with a police dog in the Oosterpark. The explosion was clearly audible at the end of the street, where officers were investigating fatal shooting. No suspects have been arrested yet. The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
