110 trees felled along Kortemarkstraat in Torhout

The plans for the renewal of the road between Kortemark and Torhout are more than 10 years old.

The reconstruction of the road to the border with Kortemark has been postponed several times in the past, partly due to the lack of subsidies. It is a two and a half kilometer stretch. In Kortemark, the reconstruction is already in full swing. Torhout will follow later this year. The felling of 110 trees still has to be done this week, new trees will take their place, a little further from the roadway.
