As the last obstacle on the way to Denmark’s first overall victory in the Tour de France since 1996, Jonas Vingegaard still has to master the individual time trial on Saturday.

It is 40.7 kilometers from Lacapelle-Marival to Rocamadour. The course is relatively bumpy and has an average incline of eight percent over 1.5 kilometers at the end.

Nevertheless, Vingegaard, who is considered a good time trialist, should have no problem defending his yellow jersey with a lead of more than three minutes. Italian world champion Filippo Ganna and Belgian all-rounder Wout van Aert also have a chance of winning the day.
