According to energy supplier Engie, this is an error. “The apartments work with a collective heating system, such as a large boiler. There is always heat loss, which is then distributed among all residents. So perhaps something went wrong there. We think that the total amount has been charged individually for each resident, in instead of dividing that amount,” says Nele Scheerlinck of Engie.
The residents do not have to pay their invoice and will soon receive a new, correct bill.
