A 74-year-old man from Oss has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for child abuse in Kenya, Kenyan Media report. It is about Jan in V. He was previously found guilty of sexual abuse of a minor, the distribution of child pornography and so -called sexting. That is the distribution or sharing of sexually tinted messages or photos or videos of yourself via mobile phones or other media.
De Ossenaar must pay a million Kenyan Shilling (around 7500 euros) in compensation for three victims he has made. After serving his prison sentence, he is deported to the Netherlands, the court ruled.
In ‘t V., in 2023, the international airport of the capital Nairobi was arrested when he tried to flee Kenya. All his electronic devices were seized. Landing material was found on this.
Against the man there were ten charges for which he was all convicted. Minors aged seven and older were involved. He deliberately and undesirably caught a 16-year-old boy in his genitals, and he was also in possession of child pornography. He also sent photos and videos to a minor to encourage him to perform sexual acts and make recordings of them.
