10 years after Nils Koppruch’s death: Fink’s retrospective “‘A Lot of People” is published

Ten years after Nils Koppruch’s death, a Fink retrospective entitled “‘Neen Mengeleute” (‘a lot of people’) is published. The work represents all six of the band’s albums from 1997 to 2005 and will be released on September 23rd.

Also included are the debut albums BIRD OBACHTUNGEN IM WINTER (1997), HOLE IN THE WORLD (1998), MONDSCHEINER (1999) as well as FINK (2001), HAIKU AMBULANCE (2003) and BAM BAM BAM (2005). They were remastered by Chris von Rautenkranz and will be released in LP format in a vinyl box with booklet or individually as colored LPs. The label describes the upcoming work as a “jewellery collection for old or aspiring fans, in which a piece of contemporary musical history is reflected”.

Fink with Nils Koppruch

The Hamburg band was founded in 1996. She is best known for Nils Koppruch, who knew how to combine music with wit and poetry. They last toured in 2005 in celebration of their last album, BAM BAM BAM, which you can listen to below. In December 2006, the group announced that it had disbanded. Since then, Koppruch has continued to work on solo projects. He died in Hamburg in October 2012 at the age of 46 (here is our review of the posthumously published WERKSCHAU).
