A lot of children from primary school ‘Durperhonk’ from De Cocksdorp attended the ceremony last night. In their midst a proud Berber who wrote a letter to the Texel mayor a year and a half ago with her motivation.
“I like to look at the Jeugdjournaal. When an item passed over a children’s mayor, I thought to myself: why does Texel actually have nothing?” She said earlier. In the letter she also wrote that she could replace the mayor in the event of illness. “I was immediately enthusiastic,” said Mayor Pol.
