According to his own statements, head coach Bo Svensson would not leave Bundesliga club FSV Mainz 05 for any other club at the moment.
When asked what he would do if he was offered a Champions League club, the 43-year-old Dane said to “Bild”: “It’s super hypothetical. If it were now, it wouldn’t be an option. No matter who would come, me would stay in Mainz. I have a contract until 2024, to discuss things in the future is too theoretical for me.”
Svensson took over the 05ers in January 2021 and led them out of the relegation zone. The club around sports director Christian Heidel would like to extend the contract, which is due to last until next year. “Everyone thinks it’s good to get recognition.
