The last third division match day had it all again. Both the three -way battle for the relegation and the relegation battle were only decided late.
Energie Cottbus played third place in the 3rd division on the last matchday. In a dramatic conference, the Lausitzer lost 1: 3 at home against FC Ingolstadt and had the 1. FC Saarbrücken passed by. The Saarlanders beat the U23 of the BVB 2-1 and thus jumped onto the relegation place. Hansa Rostock, on the other hand, had to be 1-2 at the Hannover 96 U23, which had already been deployed and ended the season in fifth place.
Borussia Dortmund’s U23 is now the last relegation, who could not catch up with the gap to Stuttgart II and Waldhof Mannheim. Mike Tullberg has to go to the Regionalliga West shortly after his job as a coach of the BVB second.
By the way, Arminia Bielefeld has become a master. The DFB Cup finalist defeated Mannheim 1-0 and no longer left Dynamo Dresden past himself. Dresden still had reason to celebrate. With a 3-0 home win against Unterhaching, the Saxons successfully passed from their own fans.
