1. FC Nürnberg and Niklas-Wilson Sommer are now going their separate ways. As the club announced, both parties agreed to terminate the 26-year-old’s contract early. This was originally valid until the end of the season. In addition to football, the right-back is also known for his work as a live streamer.
Sommer was signed by FCN in the summer of 2023 and was only used in the second team. He played 17 times for the U23s. “We wish Willy all the best for his sporting and private future,” said NLZ director Michael Wiesinger about the defender, who was already active for Nuremberg in his youth.
Sommer was physically attacked by several masked men in Nuremberg in August last year and has not played a game since.
