Shuranov is under contract with FCN until 2024, which is why a transfer fee would have to be paid. His market value is currently estimated at 1 million euros, making him one of the most valuable players in the squad. The young professional is said to have been about to leave last summer and agreed with the Austrian LASK. According to the “Bild” newspaper, however, the negotiations failed due to the different transfer ideas of the two teams. The “club” is said to have demanded 3 million euros at the time, which was too much for the people of Linz.

Shuranov remained in Nuremberg and faced numerically great competition. There are six center forwards in the current squad, and Lukas Schleimer has also been used on the “Nine”. “He can give us a lot in front of goal, but he also has to get into position first. It’s not just diligence against the ball, even with the ball he doesn’t just have to wait for action to come. He has to get more involved in the game, including in training,” coach Dieter Hecking recently commented on Shuranov’s situation.
