The 1. FC Magdeburg is the surprise team of the 2nd Bundesliga this season. After 14th place in the previous year, the team of coach Christian Titz suddenly played for the promotion. The main reason for this is the strong offensive around Martijn Kaars, who is at the top of the league with 14 goals. The striker has now commented on his plans for the future and a possible transfer in summer.
“It’s going really well, but I’ve only been here for six months. Then you shouldn’t worry about a transfer in a contract for three years, ”said Kaars in an interview with“ESPN“. “The Bundesliga is a dream for me. The future will show whether this will be with or without Magdeburg. ”
There have been no concrete rumors about interested parties in the past few weeks, Kaars will continue as before, but that should only be a matter of time. Last weekend, the 25-year-old scored a four-pack in the 5-2 win on Schalke and thus has nine goals in the past four games.
“I like German football and in my opinion the Bundesliga is an ideal next step,” said Kaars about his career goals. At the same time, however, he emphasized that the time was not important to him. “I will wait and worry.”
